| Posted : Saturday, 20 June 2009 - 21:07 my opinion on this is put on hold right now but i would like to know, when you make a nap with someone do you feel that it is wrong to feed people information that might hinder the person you have a nap with? IE: you find yourself in a nap with someone who is gaining power way too fast and will hinder your efforts to eliminate other players and take resources of your own. Seeing this you let others know where his forces are and where they are advancing and/or allow aggressors to pass through your territory in order to attack the person you already had the nap with. I am just wondering what everyones thoughts are on this. I didn't find anything wrong with using this kind of strategy but have since noticed that other players refuse to do it themselves. |

Of course, anyone is free to make and break NAP's at will, just don't expect hearty agreements with that person if you screw them over for expediency's sake. Shifty dealing is paid for in like coin, I think.

| Posted : Thursday, 25 June 2009 - 17:02 What is the forum's consensus on giving notice to end a NAP?
For instance, you give notice at 7:30 am on turn 50. You've agreed to give 5 turns notice. What's the earliest time it considered "honourable" to commence hostilities? 00:01am on turn 55? or 7:31am. Or 18:00 on turn 54? | | Princess in the Shadows Joined 14/11/2008 Posts : 510
| Posted : Thursday, 25 June 2009 - 18:11 For me I always give 10 turns warning so if it was at 730 on turn 50 ,I always send a message stating AT turn 60 we will be at war this does not mean at 730 on turn 60 ...it means what it says,if they responded with 730 on turn 60 I would just have a laugh to myself (but agree) and attack at 730 on turn 60 to the second lol | | Hambone Joined 27/12/2008 Posts : 329
| Posted : Wednesday, 1 July 2009 - 12:35 Well on a 10 turn notice NAP, a few hours is neither here nor there, if you can't organize your defence in 9 turns you're going to have trouble no matter what.
On a shorter notice period, those hours could make a difference between getting 4-6 moves in (e.g. 5 turns notice served at 23:59 on turn 50, attack commences 00:01 on 55, means you only have a chance at 4 turns moves from notice served to first hostilities), while you opponent gets 6 moves, more than enough to close in from outside outpost range with a pre-prepared army. | | Princess in the Shadows Joined 14/11/2008 Posts : 510
| Posted : Wednesday, 1 July 2009 - 16:29 I also have a condition with all my naps that on breaking the nap(10 turns notice) all troops must be removed from eachothers lands a quickly as possible and not to return until the 10 turns has elapsed. | | Tubthumper Joined 31/12/2005 Posts : 859
