On a few occassions in the past I tried private messaging new players (000 000 000) basic hints and questions and answers that I thought might help them get over stumbling points for them to learn to play with the result that it did seem to me that the active count did seem to be increased a little.

It did become a tedious chore even though I saved some messages that I could just copy and paste, but if basic hints and questions and answers can be sent to new players in private message by the game, I think it might help.
