| Posted : Friday, 6 March 2009 - 02:15 Im assuming something like this: (your current rank)x(the amount of experience rank in the game)/ (the amount of players) x (some other random equalization) = points gained and new rank
Seriously I don't have a clue but I think that I will go and grab another bourbon |

| Posted : Friday, 6 March 2009 - 02:19 well it really depends on how much resource building you got and how many kills and death you've had through out the whole campaign bro |

| Posted : Friday, 6 March 2009 - 02:26 I think hes saying....after the game is finished how is the ranking points that are gained calculated . For example a high ranked player in a low ranked game say (Renno) would get less points for coming first than me for instance because I have a low rank.....does this make sence or does it sound like gibberish. lol |

| Posted : Friday, 6 March 2009 - 02:40 no, you've got the general idea.
I beleive what it does is adds up all of the ranks of the players involved and makes an average rank. Based upon what that average is, you have your points awarded for each place. HOWEVER, that base score is then compared to your rank upon entering the camp for a secondary calculation.
I don't know the actual numbers... nor the actual calculation, but this is a general idea example...
say the average rank of all opponents is 56 and the top 5 players' levels go something like:
1. 54 2. 104 3. 60 4. 23 5. 72
the scores awarded may look something like...
1. +32 2. -8 3. +16 4. +24 5. +4 |

| Posted : Friday, 6 March 2009 - 17:07 I used to know! Then it all got changed. I think it's based on what tribute producing buildings you own on the last turn factored in with your troops killed/dead. Or, how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. |

| Posted : Friday, 6 March 2009 - 18:27 actually, it's based on how many Mogs you can kill. |

| Posted : Friday, 6 March 2009 - 19:13 I used to know... then 1 year it changed. then a few months go by and it changed again. then he said it changed but it didn't, then he said he'd change it back when everybody didn't like it, but he didn't. then he gave us back 20% of kills, but not sure if that works...what month is it? I used to know... I used to know... |

| Posted : Monday, 9 March 2009 - 21:52 Thanks for the help. The tribute thing seems strange. It seems like if im going to lose, it is better for your rank in the campaign to quit while your tribute is higher. Is that right? |

| Posted : Tuesday, 10 March 2009 - 00:01 That's supposed to be the way it is worked now, with inactives above quitters and anyone who stays the course getting higher ranking. I haven't played a campaign lately so I would need independent confirmation on this from someone who is more active.
As far as I know, Req made it so that only what you control on the last turn of the game you were in counts as tribute, but I'm not certain he made that change. If that is the case, then lasting til the end is vital and grabbing all you can on that last turn seems to be the way to get the most points...but there again, correct me if I'm wrong. |

| Posted : Tuesday, 10 March 2009 - 13:39 No, quitting seems to help your score if it looks like your going to lose rank.
I gained +13 campaign rank after quitting game 22110 (I was basically knocked out and quit after my last commandeer and barracks was gone).
Also AdmiralKickars quit early on in game 12660 and gained +15.
This is wrong, IMHO. Players should be encouraged to play to the end. (normally losing points) |

| Posted : Tuesday, 10 March 2009 - 14:16 yeah, I heard about this 'quitting bug' before... if you quit while you're ahead, you get gains... it didn't used to be that way. |
