The problem here is that there are a lot of moons for example saturn has 60 moons.
Also the dwarf planet Haumea has 2 moons and to be honest ive never heard of Haumea before lol

Yes, it is located closer to the sun than the asteroid belt which narrows it down to a select few, I think I have lost this one!

So moggy its 1 of 3 answers, the Earth has one moon and Mars has 2 moons,Mercury and Venus don't have any moons so its not them.

If it was a moon of Jupiter or Saturn it would have been a lot more difficult,we would have had to start asking dates of discovery like before 1950s etc
