| Posted : Sunday, 16 November 2008 - 20:57 If you get abusive messages from another player inform me or Requiem. We will deal with it. It's better that you don't reply in a heated manner. If they won't amend their ways they will be deleted from active players for some time or forever.
There is no reason whatsoever to put up with abuse in a game. Don't stand for it. All messages are saved and can be reviewed by Req or me. |

| Posted : Monday, 17 November 2008 - 22:31 Well, that's the problem; just because it's one mistake with you doesn't mean it's not one mistake for 10 other people as well. I would at least make Req/Mog aware of the msg, even if you don't intend for them to do anything about it. If they notice similar complaints from other players then they are in a position to take action, whereas if you don't say anything they'll have to treat it as a first time offense the next time it happens.
People who trash talk typically don't do it as an exception to good behavior, so if someone is harassing you without provocation it's very likely they have and will continue to do so with others. This isn't about getting someone in trouble, or spreading gossip (I really don't care who it is), it's about making sure that type of behavior is dealt with appropriately, because that "second mistake" may not be with you, and it's not fair to the next person to have to go it alone when there is a history of this behavior. | | Mog DoCJoined 5/02/2004 Posts : 14357
