In Duels and Battles I can see all my opponents troops no matter where they are, even on the other side of the board. Is that normal and why?

do you have fog turned on or off?

b/c fog of war is turned off..don't know if u know yet but thats an option now..

it was always an option...wasn't it? at least for me it was

the fog is off by default, you have to make sure it's turned on when creating the game. personally I think he's got it backwards, it should be on by default...

and don't forget that he can see your troops too ...

it used to be possible to get out of the game without penalty to start a new game with fog of war on if early enough in the game, but since the changes to the tribute system I don't know if that's possible now or the details of how it's done.

Ithought it should be on by default as well but Req thought that new players would be more likely to understand the game if it was off, since a common question is, "Why can't I see the other guy's troops?"

I see. Is there no way of knowing what the game creator chose before you enter, other than just messinging??

umm no i don't think so i've looked but didn't find anything

I just looked at Renno's Duel and it's not indicated, but seems to me there's no reason it couldn't be listed.
Sometimes a vet will indicate it as a detail of the game though.
