Do you still get resources/ gold if you remove your own buildings?

I'm in two duels where it looks like my opponents did the "remove/ sell your castle buildings" thing before the changes came in and have teched up with the proceeds.

If I now cannot do the same I will be at a permanent disadvantage....

Perhaps you should have an income penalty for reducing your castle to a parade ground (i.e. lose a % of your castle income for each building removed)?

We still get a percentage of the cost in gold when removing buildings ...
used to be about a third in gold and resources, but I'm not sure of the amount of the pay-back now.

There is a little lag before it shows though.
