I had a thoughts yesterday as i played Dwarrior.

How about using Commanders to bribe enemy units to your side. The % of success should work like the destruction of walls, and should take gold equaling 150% of cost of unit to change sides, the negative here is that the unit has lower Attack and Defense by 1 pr 2 points

Now here is my formula.

Low Level units should take 2 (10) commanders and 150% gold

Mid Level units should take 3 (10) commanders and 150% gold

High Level units should take 4 (10) commanders and 200% gold.

What do you think???

well i think its a stupid idea lol because of the troops in your castle you be able to bribe them in to joining your side

i dont think its stupid. i just think it should be done different. perhaps bribe could be an upgrade for the spy network. by spending gold there could be a chance to bribe a random unit of a specific enemy. if the bribe is succesful, the unit is yours. if not, the gold belongs to the enemy.

special abilities; to incapacitate all soldiers and make them drop their weapons as well as their jaw, soldiers next to a harem would become so enamoured they won''t be able to defend themselves. However ratios must work 1/1 so if you have a stack of 6 harem girls only 6 soldiers of the stack it is next to would become defenseless, if it is a stack of 10 the other 4 would still fight.

A harem of course would have no attack abilities, but they could seduce an enemy unit to cross over to your side, unless the enemy stack is bigger than the harem stack.

oh they must be dressed in see through lace.

well i think you guys must think there is'nt enough advance stuff on the game already well as for the bribe units i think it is stupid because when have you's seen a soldier get bribe into a nother side only in movies not in real life so to me you guys have been watching to much tv lol

umm i'm sure there have been a few troops in Medieval times that took bribes to turn to the enemy's side so i doubt its just "only in movies not in real life"..and i'm not advocating bribe units btw..

I agree with hanky that attacking is already at least twice as hard now as it was pre-October changes. We don't need to make it harder now again.

Attacking's not hard, so long as you have mounds a 6 balista and your opponent has 2!

i think this could be a really interesting addition to the game but maby have a new class that is immune to this or maby if a commandeer is within 3 square the unit cann't be turned, maby give this ability to a knight or hc as well.

well how about this one if a player goes inactive then you can use a commander to bribe enemys units to become your troops i think that would be good

yea i reckon that would be better then just going to a enemy unit and just pushing your mouse button and getting a enemy unit to join your army because if you do it the way the other people have said to do it in this topic it would be unfair with the player thats got that enemy unit because what happen if that person got lets say 5 stacks of 10pop marksmen and you end up taking the lot and then you will have the advantage if you are at war with that person thats what i think anyway bro's

i forgot to say that it should probably cost the same amount of gold that it costs to make the unit so for example it would cost 2000 to take an enemy scout...and that the other player should probably get the gold just to even things out

would be a bad bribe if it would cost the same ammount. as i mentioned before it should cost less. perhaps 50%-75% of the unit costs. and there should be a 50% chance that the bribe wont work. if it works, the gold/tribute/whatever is spent to bribe the unit and should not go to the other player. if your bribe fails, the gold/tribute/whatever should go the the other player.

i also think that bribiung should be random and done without a special unit. we just need a bribe button and a menu to select the ammount of gold/tribute/whatever we want to spend. the more we spend, the better the unit we can bribe. example: if we spend 1000-1500 we could bribe scouts. if we spend 10000-15000 we could bribe marksmen.

we could also spend more gold/tribute/whatever to boost chances of a successful bribe. could be useful if you are low on points and high on tribute.
