| Posted : Friday, 10 October 2008 - 03:49 it wasnt in my original planning, but something that was suggested and discussed. I am still not sure I like it as it just means going back to the old any-pop system by 1/2. Why would anyone bother with 10 pop when you can deploy 1/2 armies in 1/2 the time? |

and make it so the 1/2 size tech was a barracks upgrade, so you have to purchase the tech for each barracks you want to use it.
either that, or just make the 1/2 size penalty large enough to make sure 5pops dont become the norm |

In all the games I'm in this new deployement system has lead to new strategic options for all my troops including the comms. I for one, unlike what TR has said, feel that the game has actually SPED up vs slowing down. You can get into "combat" situations much quicker with a plethora of troop options available. Do I sell out and flood the battlefield with basic troops with comm bonuses, do I lay back and try for the next level troops knowing it's possible to be "outnumbered" on the field.
I like the current changes but have to say I'm a bit concerned about the "commerce" changes being talked about. I'll have more to say about that later. Otherwise keep up the good work Req. |

Renno's camp just got started and I'll see for myself how fast it is and it may be faster than I expected if I'm willing to go all basic, but we don't play the same fella and so far it's not been a blitzkrieg in the PG game.

The game should be much easier for new players to get involved playing though ... didn't ever say that wasn't so.
