since we have no trading market shouldnt we get rid of the market place [that i just wasted a bunch of gold on] and might as well change all resource piles to gold

NEVER MIND MY DUMMASS JUST FIGURED OUT THAT RESOURCES ARE AUTOMACTICLLY TURNING TO GOLD

now do we need the market place updates to get a better gold return on the resource piles and blowing up useless castles ?

our resources were drastically cut but troops still cost a fortune in resources, not just gold, now I can't put out troops even though I have the gold to buy ore and wood but no market to buy it at. wtf?

I can't even see what I have for resources unless I try to buy troops...and what's this default switching to game page automatically every 6 secs? frustrating trying to type anything.

it's that new chat box on the game window, the cursor constantly switches to it, try to answer a msg and you can't type 3 letters before the corsor goes to the chat box. I found it's much easier to type your msg in notepad then paste it where you want it.

i took the focus() command away so it shouldnt try to steal the focus back every 20 seconds

- Remove Gems, Metal, Stone, Wood as a resource.
- Destroying resource piles (except Gold piles) now gives you EXP and TRIBUTE.
- Only GOLD is used as a purchasing resource now.
- Switched to a new combined game/map window that also includes a game-specific chat window.

WHat use is TRIBUTE? I.e. how can you use it or what benefit does it give you? Or is it just another name for RESOURCES?

- All troops have been re-balanced according to the 3 levels (Basic, Advanced, Expert), so that all troops in the same level are equivalent in power/value.

- You can now play with Medieval or Demons (or Barbarians for Members) in the Training Game, Proving Grounds and Duels

- Split Proving Grounds into a 2 groups; Rank 0-50, and 50+. Players will automatically join the game based on their current rank.

- Fixed Proving Ground games so that players will not start in any castle that already has troops in it. If no empty castles exist, a new game will be started.

- Updated some building costs to reflect the Gold-only prices.

Is the removal of the transfer troops ability permanent? I hope not.

Really taking out some of the flavor of working up experienced melee troops if it is.

Ranged can build up xp because they aren't taking losses every time they fire, but melee.. they're losing a pop or two every time they attack (excluding elite forces).

- fixed Battles & Duels so you can pick Random as the class, and it will asign the class randomly when game begins.
- fixed Battles & Duels so it now shows the correct opponent
- split the Attack and Defense Techs into 5 techs, each giving +5 Attack or +5 Defense.

Mechdestroyer, there is only Gold. Gemponds, Mines, Quarries and Woodmills only provide Tribute, which is what games are ranked on.

- lowered damage for all ranged troops to be half of their equivalent melee troops.
- Updated Market Places so you can now SELL Tribute for Gold.
- Tribute is now earned for killing troops. You gain 20% of their Points value when killing the entire army (not just individual pops)

So, if I kill 2 of a 3 pop, I wount get any points?
What if I kill first some and then the rest later will I still not get any points or do I get points for killing only the last or what?

re:selling tribute for gold.for all the gold you would use building and teching up your marketplace would take a long time to recover only to sell off your rank buy selling tribute

I agree with LOD, I'll send all my 1 pop units to the moon so my opponent cannot take points from that

Only god knows how long I've been waiting for a new huge battle game. Now ProvingGrounds reminds me a little of what made me fall in love with the game before.

Back when only one battle was done at a time. A huge map able to hold everyone. Not to mention the old outpost and before that unit increasing your land play. The huge armies we could create and the fortress which they came from. Walls as far as you could see with being able to build anything where you wanted it on your land.

Yeah, I know thats all gone. But a man can dream right?
