Can we hold the shift key, select multiple like movement units and move them as a group?

Ahh that would be nice. Just make sure they all have the same move points!

its an idea i have toyed with, of course the problem there is you wont have any control over where the units end up.
as they will all just try to move as close to the destination hex as possible in order of who is closest first.

since so many players always tell me how important it is to have total control over their units, this idea would contradict that, and so I havent looked into it further.

Well admittedly it would be very useful in the PG game moving masses of troops across ones own territory without any immediate special strategic need;

but I have also toyed with the idea that in addition to as you describe, with some loss of movement, the units might possibly be moved in a few formation types like:
straight ljne, block or V.

However, the way you describe would be sufficient for moving troops from one front to another.

you'd lose alot of spaces though, and some troops would not use all their movement.

while easier, it would take you longer to get from A to B

You still have to wait up for the slower ones as it is now.

I don't like this ...the chance to make an undesirable mistake is pretty big.

as for PG...probably it will be a nice feature

You would probably be able to move your units one at a time if you prefer (i.e. I'm reasonably certain).

To make this game really simple for new players I think we should just let the game make all our decisions for us, what to build, where to move, who to attack. Then we can just sit back, relax and watch LOD take over. It'll be fun!
