| Posted : Sunday, 27 April 2008 - 14:35 you may or may not have noticed i have just passed my 1 year aniversary playing this game, and i must say i nearly quit the game as well for no other reason than the awsome choices there were available, the game seamed to have so many facits that i was scared on joining duels/camps for not wanting to mess up and spoil other players games, but I jumped in with both feet and my lunch as well
one of the big worries as a pc baby ( Iam 41 after all and past that age of finding these things easy)was the chat rooms and the welcome i would get.of course i was wrong and i found that they are fun places to be
BUT have you noticed how often they are empty, whats a newb to think ...That we are all up our own ar*ses and dont talk to each other
SO i am going to suggest that we get one of the small `chat boxes` that can be seen in other games, it sits in the bottom right corner in the map screen under all the game/ troop details then we can type your turn, good move, welcome best of luck ect... ect.....

A turn-based strategy game doesn't need that kind of on-the-fly chat, because you can sit, think, message, etc. It's not as though you have to make a move in five minutes flat or you lose instantly. |

| Posted : Monday, 28 April 2008 - 02:56 I disagree. Having in-game chat would help keep players. Being able to ask about game mechanics during the game is almost completely necessary. That's why many just won't battle unless the new player will join a chat room.
I'm all for it, but I'd also add a "mute" button so if you don't want to talk to your opponent you don't have to. |
