Hmmmmm. That last one doesn't seem to work... minus 1 posts?

Oh well, I'll try again.

20 questions, ask questions that can be answered yes or no.

Animal: something alive that isn't a plant.
Vegetable: something alive that isn't an animal.
Mineral: something that may have been alive but is no longer alive, or never was alive.

Good luck!

It is mineral according to my definition above. As to its blueness... well, I'll do my best to ignore such flippancy!

It is not oil or petroleum based, how uninventive do you think I am? (Or maybe that is my psychological trickery at work... hit 'em with almost the same thing two times in a row! But, no.)

It is a solid. (6th)

Materials in it were once alive but I wouldn't take that to mean it was alive once itself.(7th)

Trying to trim down your definition of `a mineral`
Was it once alive as a vegetable / animal and that is now dead?

quote
Animal: something alive that isn't a plant.
Vegetable: something alive that isn't an animal.
Mineral: something that may have been alive but is no longer alive, or never was alive.
