Winning my campaigns and duels mostly.
I hope you are next to me too.

What I put up there is part of how I have a vastly increased troop production over everyone else early game.

the first two market tributes are important too, though... they give you the extra resources you need for troop production. I'd hafta to agree with Gaiyamato in getting those before the tax reform.

Speaking of the tax reform tech, I rarely purchase it early in a game.
As mentioned, I''ll use the market place with tribute techs to get the extra gold I need and when I''m in a position with extra...then, usually 25+ turns or more into a camp, do I purchase the tax reform.

Tax reform is only 1000 gold per turn.

Only???

that''s the difference between buying ballis and mace or only one or the other.

Tax reform pays off.

But again ... it''s a matter of positioning, and neighborgs.

I can go very military and take over a market from my dear enemy, or build up military balanced with economy. It depends how fast I want to take over.

You''re all wrong! The best way to start a campaign is to click the Start Turn button!

I start off my campaigns by joining them!

You might want to try learning as much about the particular campaign map as you can also (i.e. of course for locations of resource buildings and bonus resource piles).

Those mini map things really help for that I found.
We need an official link to it all instead of needing to rely on Mogs site.
lol.

Knowing where to send your troops early is a really big bonus.
