I see rumblings about wanting a new mafia game!

I''m not much in the mood to play one (you guys play funny! ) but I''m actually feeling really motivated to write a good story, so I''ll be happy to moderate one.

Since mafia interest is low, the best way to do this is with a classic, C9 setup. That means SEVEN players. No more, no less. I can and will cut off signups at seven players. Also, if I think it''s likely you''ll drop out midgame (dropping out of previous games, no past forum posts, etc), I may pass over you...so if you think you fall into that category, make a good impression!

The theme will be Necromancer mafia, and will feature all sorts of undead goodies.

A little sketch of what I have planned.

*****Requiem, a powerful but benevolent Necromancer, rules his massive territory from a castle stronghold, guarded by his undead minions. He manages to strike a fine balance that most Necromancer rulers fail to find...a proper ratio of living peasants to undead slaves, managing to keep his domain both prosperous and strong.

Then, one stormy night, Requiem''s realm is attacked! A small army of powerful liches storm the castle. Liches, unlike living necromancers, are the undead corpses of powerful sorcerers who chose to continue their studies of the magical realm at the expense of becoming undead...and, as in doing so, become even more powerful. The liches, though outnumbered, make their way past wave after wave of Requiem''s defenses. Losing many of their numbers, the last few still make it to Requiem. He is killed.

Now, the few remaining liches MAY have once chosen to give up their mortal souls to gain extreme power, but they aren''t suicidal. They know that most of them were slain on the way in...they could not just leave the castle through the front doors. Using their powerful magic, they disguise themselves. Then they have a clever idea. Rather than just slipping back home to report their good news, they decide to stay. If they can gain control of the castle in Requiem''s absence, they would be greatly rewarded indeed...

It''s a tough game, BBBP. You have to be willing to be extremely patient, read a LOT, follow the rules to the letter, and put in a decent amount of time to the game.

Does that sound like something you''d like? With such a small number of players, you screwing up could quite easily screw your side and make them lose.

I have never played before but i would really really like to try it out!!!!

Same goes to you, FuFu...this game can be a lot of work. There''s a lot of reading, since you have to look for clues. A lot of thinking is required. I''ll put you in, but just remember that you MUST stay active and post!
