| Posted : Wednesday, 28 September 2005 - 12:41 Then know what the enemy is using... I see many people with high levels been losing to the same person because he plays demonics and you guys just didnt know till you battled, off course most of the time youll get destroyed, unless you know how to battle demonics, and it is hard because you have to get rid of demigods if you use marks first then run away from the other demons and shoot at the same time. well anyways, if you really want to battle against demonics and have marks, youll have to have alot of fods. get rid of demi god first, then theyll have shaevers or whatever, but usually, not flying units. use the forest and rocks as your walls, dont let them use all their demonics on you. get rid of their neehts with arrows and then protect well with spears, go to 3V2 hex and put on de mode. and at last youd proly end up with some marks and their non flying movement 9 or 10 unit, you will tie or win unless you ran to a wrong place. Well anyways, if you dont need to use your meds against demos, fight them with dems. protect your army well, get your first strike on him, using your kneets and walls so they wont get you first strike, then you cannot lose, the worst you can do is tie if you use demos unless the opp is really good at dems or you chose a wrong army. anyways, have fun and know your opponent, i dont enjoy seeing 4 people above me drop down in one day just because they fought against dems with meds or something... :-( |

Knights..demons are mostly rock.
Demons also retal massively, knights do not take retal so you can save fodder troops 2 cover your back. |

Don't fight unless the other guy tells you what he is using and if he lies, you can quit before any troops are lost, no rank loss then.
Or just autobattle the person involved. I know who you mean, and he is a good battler in autos as well. |

| Posted : Wednesday, 28 September 2005 - 23:25 He plays very well...and in my case, I was lucky and had knights...but, not enough. Left him with one demigod with about 100 points left as he killed my last maceman. So close.
I have asked him for a rematch and he says he will give me one after he manages to take out a few more high-level players. That is fine with me as I know I will be able to beat a demonic specialist when forewarned. The higher level he gains...the more of my points I will get back. He has never played anything but demons. He deserved the victory as I made 3 specific stupid mistakes that could have given me the game in the end. His play was near flawless.
My thought is that he will progress to the top of our rankings...just as our other skilled demon players have. But, with this tactic, he will never become a top medi player and will lose badly if he ever enters a medi tournament in the future. The demons are strong and I usually avoid playing against them for a reason. But as a strategy/tactic to gain levels quickly...I think it is valid.
It does come at a price though. Cheers, H. |

| Posted : Thursday, 29 September 2005 - 14:52 Hm...I'll just fight him with demons myself. There's your solution. Use demons against him.
Even the best-thought-out anti-demi medieval strat won't do as well against demons as other demons. |

| Posted : Thursday, 29 September 2005 - 21:36 Then specify beforehand that you want the battle to be medieval vs medieval. If the guy agrees to medieval versus medieval and then uses demonics, that makes him a liar. Don't battle him anymore. However, if he simply says "no, I do not agree to those terms" then...well...don't battle him either.
Only battle people who agree to your terms, and you won't have any accidents. Whether or not your terms are too strict or not is another matter |

| Posted : Thursday, 29 September 2005 - 21:47 I'd like to point out that demons are too strong in relation to other classes. When they are in campaigns, they will be extremely formidable opponents. |

For some reason he ducked batteling me just a day before he beat some very good players and we havent battled since simply because he will not agree 2 tell me what he has.

Now i am sure he is a returning player, i saw him sitting in battle 2 waiting for some sucker jump in there with medi. so i picked a nice little demons setup and as i joined i sent him a friendly good luck, as you do.
i got this lovely ode 2 funky from him
You're a jealous miserable sod. Go post some more of your little minded envious posts in the witch hunt against me. Some wonderful community you have here in WOL. I have arranged battles with Sage and Cooples and even played Viva to no conclusion but I will not battle you. Too smug, too arrogant.
there it is everyone.

| Posted : Friday, 30 September 2005 - 14:52 nahh just chillax lol. its good we have demonic battler ryt? I mean we didnt have any active ones at least. I could become one but no one would battle me and that would make me miserable yeah well i just wanted to let yall think of what other player is playing before you play. just because only 1 person out of like 200 plays demonic doesnt mean who you battle doesnt play demonic, know your opponent. thas all so yeah have fun and dont lose 10 pts from careless mistake lol | | Mog DoCJoined 5/02/2004 Posts : 14357
